Thedynamictorsionalbucklingandpost-bucklingofelasto-plasticcircularcylindricalshellisstudied.BytheusageoftheBodner-Partomconstitutiverelation,thepresentvisco-plasticproblemistreat-edasanorthotropicelasticproblem.Basedonthenonlinearlargedeflectionshelltherory,thegoverningdynamicbucklingequationissolvedbytheRunge-Kuttamethod,andthecriticalbucklingstressisdeter-minedbytheB-Rcriterion.Thepresentpaperismainlyfocusedontheimperfectionsensitivity,thestrainratesensitivity,andthedynamicpost-bucklingcharactersfortheshellloadeddynamicallywithaconstantshearstrainrate.Numericalresultsshowthatthecriticalshearstressandimperfectionsensitivitywillin-creasewiththeincreaseofstrainrate.Itisfoundthattheelasticbucklingstressismoresensitivetoimperfectionthanthevisco-plasticbuckling.Thepresentresearchalsorevealssomedynamicpost-bucklingcharactersforthecylindricalshell,anditisshownthattheshellwillvibra
