摘要
-Thispaperdiscussestheapplicationoffractaldimensionandfractalsinoceanengineering.Tohandlesomeoceanenvironmentproblems,theexistingfractalmethod,inwhichthefractaldimensionisaconstant,canbeused.Forsomecomplicatedproblemsinoceanengineering,thispaperpresentstheconceptofthevariabledimensionfractals(D=f(r)),i.e.,thefractaldimensionDisthefunctionofcharacteristicscalerinsteadofaconstant.Byusingvariabledimensionfractals,severaldeformationandstressstatesofoffshorestructuresaredescribed.
