The Ground Deformation Disaster in the City of Tianjin Associated with the Tangshan Earthquake-中国期刊网

摘要 Inthispaper,astudyoftheprincipalcharacteristicsofthegrounddeformationdisastersinthecityofTianjincausedbytheTangshanearthquakeisbasedontheresultsfromtherecentremeasurementsofthegeodeticcontrollingnetworkofTianjinandfromon-siteinvestigationsaftertheearthquake.TheseresultsshowthatonlythegrounddeformationintheNingheandHanguareasneartheepicenterreflectdirectlytheco-seismiccrustalstress,whiletheseriousgrounddeformationandtheengineeringearthquakedamagesintheurbandistrictsofTianjinarecontrolledtoagreatextentbythelocalengineeringgeologicalstructures,showingakindofsecondarydisaster.Severalsuggestionsarealsoproposedinthepaperconcerningthecounter-measuresforreducingtheearthquakedamageinbigcities.
