A NOVEL UNIVERSAL PREPROCESSING APPROACH FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION DIRECTION-OF-ARRIVAL ESTIMATION

摘要 Anoveluniversalpreprocessingmethodisproposedtoestimateanglesofarrival,whichisapplicabletoone-ortwo-dimensionalhighresolutionprocessingbasedonarbitrarycenter-symmetricarrays(suchasuniformlineararrays,equal-spacedrectangularplanararraysandsymmetriccirculararrays).Bymappingthecomplexsignalspaceintotherealone,thenewmethodcaneffectivelyreducethecomputationneededbythesignalsubspacedirectionfindingtechniqueswithoutanyperformancedegradation.Inaddition,thenewpreprocessingschemeitselfcandecorrelatethecoherentsignalsreceivedonthearray.Forregulararraygeometrysuchasuniformlineararraysandequal-spacedrectangularplanararrays,thepopularspatialsmoothingpreprocessingtechniquecanbecombinedwiththenovelapproachtoimprovethedecorrelatingability.Simulationresultsconfirmtheaboveconclusions.
