摘要
Theintensityandpositionofthecouplingpointsinhighbirefringence(Hi-Bi)fiberscanbedetectedeffectivelyusingdistributedpolarizationcoupling(DPC)detection.Thedetectionsensitivitycandecreaseduetomechanicalvibrationdisturbanceandenvironmentnoise.Thus,amethodbasedonempiricalmodedecompositionisproposedtodetectweakmodecouplingpoints.Thesimulationandexperimentalresultsillustratethattheproposedmethodcansuppressthenoiseeffectivelyandimprovesensitivitysignificantly.Themethodcanidentifycouplingpointsasweakas-60dBembeddedinnoiseautomaticallyandeffectively.ThealgorithmisapplicableforDPC,andtheexperimentalsensitivityisimprovedby10dB.
