Doping effects of manganese on the catalytic performance and structure of NiMgO catalysts for controllabe synthesis of multi-walled carbon nanotubes

摘要 Dopingeffectsofmanganese(Mn)oncatalyticperformanceandstructureevolutionofNiMgOcatalystsforsynthesisofmulti-walledcarbonnanotubes(MWCNTs)frommethanewereinvestigatedforthefirsttime.AdditionofMninNiMgOcatalystcangreatlyimprovetheMWCNTsyield.Mn0.2NiMgOcatalystamongthetestedonesgivesthehighestMWCNTsyieldas2244%,whichistwotimeshigherthanthatofthecatalystwithoutMn.Thestructureevolution,reductionbehaviorsandsurfacechemicalpropertiesofMnNiMgOcatalystswithvariousMncontentswerestudiedindetail.ItwasfoundthatthestablesolidsolutionofNiMgO2formedinNiMgOcatalystwasdisturbedbytheadditionofMn.Instead,anothersolidsolutionofMnMg6O8isformed.MoreamountofNicanbereducedanddispersedonthecatalystsurfacetobeactedasactivesites.Importantly,thechangesofNicontentonthesurfacearecorrelatedwiththeNiparticlesizeandtheouterdiameterofMWCNTs,suggestingthecontrollablesynthesisofMWCNTsoverMnNiMgOcatalysts.
