摘要
Cavity-coupledplasmonicstructureisdemonstratedtobeasimpleandeffectivetooltomanipulatelight,enhancethebiosensingfigureofmerit,andcontrolthepolarizationstate.InthisLetter,wedemonstratethetunabilityofthechiropticaleffectofcavity-coupledchiralstructure,i.e.,sandwichchiralmetamaterials(SCMs),inwhichradiationcouplingdominatestheinteractionbetweenparticles.TwotypesofSCMswhosebuildingblocksare3Dchiraland2Dchiral,respectively,arenumericallystudied.Distinctresponsesareobservedinthesetwomaterials.Thechiropticaleffectcanbeeffectivelymanipulatedandenhancedinthe2Dcase,whiletheSCMsconsistingof3Dchirallayerskeepthechiropticaleffectaconstant.Atheoreticalanalysisbasedonmatrixopticsisdevelopedtoexplainthecorrespondingphenomena,whichgivesareasonableagreementwithnumericalsimulations.
