摘要
Amulti-wavelengthsampledBragggrating(SBG)quantumcascadelaserarrayoperatingbetween7.32and7.85μmisreported.Thesamplinggratingstructure,whichcanbeanalyzedasaconventionalgratingmultipliedbyasamplingfunction,isfabricatedbyholographicexposurecombinedwithopticalphotolithography.Thesamplinggratingperiodwasvariedfrom8to32lira,anddifferentsamplingorder(-1st,-2nd,and-3rdorder)modeswereachieved.Weproposethathigher-ordermodeswithoptimizeddutycyclescanbeusedtotakefulladvantageofthegaincurveandimprovethewavelengthcoverageoftheSBGarray,whichwillbebeneficialtomanyapplications.
