Ofthe17rareearthelements(REEs),somehaveprovenrarerthanothers.Neodymiumandpraseodymium(NdPr),twometalsinstrumentaltotherapidlyexpandinggreenenergyandelectricvehicle(EV)sectors,sawthegreatestdemandandpricemovementin2018.Demandforthemetals,whichareusedtomakehigh-strengthmagnetsforwindturbinesandEVengines,isexpectedtogrowasmoreEVsaremanufacturedandasclean-energystrategiesareadopted.
