TheJinlongdingziactivevolcanoeruptedbefore1600a,anditisthelatestbasalticexplosivevolcanoatLonggangVolcano.ItsvolcanicproductsincludetheJinlongdingziVolcaniccone(elevation999.4m),thelavaflowandthewidely-spreadvolcanicpyroclasticsheet(sihaiPyroclasticSheet),JinlongdingzivolcanicrocksaretrachybasaltswithverysimilarREEpatternsandincompatibleelementpatterns,andtheir87Sr/86Srand143Nd/144Ndratiosrangefrom0.704846ot0.704921andfrom0.512619to0.512646,respectively.Itisrevealedthatthetrachybasalthasthecharacterofprimarymagmaderiveddirectlyfrommantlesourceswithverylittleevolutionandcrustcontaminationduringitsascending.TheyoungermantlexenolithsdemonstratethatthemantlesourceoftheJinlongdingziVolcaoishydrous,withrelativelylowtemperature.
