NanocrystallineSnO2wassynthesizedbydirectmixingandgrindingofSnCI4-5H2OandNaOHatroomtemperature,followedbycalcinationatdifferenttemperaturesfordifferenttimesinair.ProductsampleswerecharacterizedbyX-raydiffractionandtransmissionelectronmicroscope,revealingthattheamorphousprecursorSnO2wastransformedtocrystalsat200℃for3h,andthattheaverageparticlesizeincreaseduponraisingthecalciningtemperatureorprolongingthecalciningtime.Themechanismofthephasetransformationoftheproductsisdiscussed.
