Thenormalspectralemissivityofniobiumstripspecimenismeasuredusinganewpulse-heatingreflectometrictechnique.Thehemisphericalspectralreflectivityofthesurfaceofastriptangenttoanintegratingsphereisdeterminedbyahigh-speedlock-intechnique.Atthesametime,theradiancetem-peratureofthestripismeasuredbythemulti-wavelengthhigh-speedpyrometerfromapproximately1000Ktothemeltingpoint.Detailsofthemeasurementmethodandoftherelatedcalibrationtechniquesarereported.Resultsofthenormalspectralemissivityofniobiumat633,753,827,and905nmfromroomtemperaturetoitsmeltingpointarepresented.Theaccuracyofspectralemissivitiesisestimatedbetterthan5%.
