摘要
WirelessMeshNetworks(WMNs)areenvisionedtosupportthewiredbackbonewithawirelessBackboneNetworks(BNet)forprovidinginternetconnectivitytolarge-scaleareas.Withawiderangeofinternet-orientedapplicationswithdifferentQualityofService(QoS)requirement,thelarge-scaleWMNsshouldhavegoodscalabilityandlargebandwidth.Inthispaper,aLoadAwareAdaptiveBackboneSynthesis(LAABS)algorithmisproposedtoautomaticallybalancethetrafficflowintheWMNs.TheBNetwilldynamicallysplitintosmallersizeormergeintobiggeroneaccordingtostatisticloadinformationofBackboneNodes(BNs).SimulationresultsshowLAABSgeneratesmoderateBNetsizeandconvergesquickly,thusprovidingscalableandstableBNettofacilitatetrafficflow.
