ThestructureandelectrochemicalcharacteristicsofLa0.7Mg0.3Ni2.875Co0.525Mn0.1-boroncompositewasstudiedsystematically.TheAB3typehydrogenstoragealloysLa0.7Mg0.3Ni2.875Co0.525Mn0.1weresuccessfullysynthesizedbymeansofinter-mediaalloyLa2Mg17.Thealloyswerecompositedwithboronatdifferentweightrate.FromtheXRDanalyses,eachalloyofthisseriesismainlycomposedof(La,Mg)Ni3phaseandtheLaNi5phase,andthephaseabundanceofeachphasevarieswiththeboronweightrate,moreover,aftercomposition,thecandcellvolumesof(La,Mg)Ni3phaseincrease,andtheLaNi5phasekeepthesame,whichindicatethattheboronmayenter(La,Mg)Ni3phase.Theelectrochemicalstudiesshowthatthemaximumdischargecapacityofthecompositesdecreases,butthecyclinglifeimproved.Andthehighratedischargeabilityandexchangeimpendencespectroscopy(EIS)oftheAB3alloysanditscompositewerealsostudied.
