简介:AnumericalcasestudyonidentifyingtheoptimumnumberofbucketsforaPeltonturbineispresented.Threeparameters:numberofbuckets,bucketradialpositionandbucketangularpositionaregroupedsincetheyarefoundtobeinterrelated.Byidentifyingthebestcombinationoftheradialandangularpositionforeachnumberofbucketsitisshownthatreductioninthenumberofbucketsbeyondthelimitsuggestedbytheavailableliteraturecanimprovetheefficiencyandbebeneficialwithregardtothemanufacturingcomplexityandcostperspective.Theeffectofthisreductioninthenumberofbucketswasconfirmedexperimentally.
