简介:AnanalyticalmethodisdevelopedforthestudyofthewavedefendingeffectsoftheV-typebottom-mountedbreakwater.Thebreakwaterisassumedtoberigid,thin,impermeableandverticallylocatedinwaterofconstantdepth.Thefluiddomainisdividedintothreesub-regionsbyanimaginaryinterface.Thevelocitypotentialineachregionisexpandedbyeigenfunctions.Bysatisfyingthecorrespondingboundaryconditionsandnatchingconditionsinandbetweensub-regions,asetoflinearalgebraicequationscanbeobtainedtodeterminetheunknowncoefficientsfortheeigenfunctionexpansionsforeachsub-region.Theaccuracyofthepresentmodelisverifiedbyacomparisonwithexistingresultsforthecaseofanisolatedbreakwater.Numericalresults,intheformofcontourmapsoftherelativewaveamplitudearoundthebreakwater,arepresentedforarangeofwaveandbreakwaterparameters.TheresultsshowthattheV-typebottommountedbreakwaterisgenerallyeffectiveindefendingagainstwaves.Ingeneral,thewaveheightintheprotectedareaisabout20~50percentoftheincidentwaveheight.
