简介:Thegrowthprocess,palaeoecologicalfeaturesandthefunctionoforganismsinreef-buildingoftheJukoupubioherminHunanarediscussedindetail.Thebiohermisdividedinto10microfacies.Organismsareveryabundantinthereef.Thirty-twogeneraBelongingto7phylahavebeenrecognized.Theymakeup5communitiescomposedmainlyofstromatopoids,Coralsandalgae,eachofwhichhasitsownsalientecologicalfeatures.Ananalysisofallcommunitiesshowsthattheorganicfunctionsareverycomplex.Thesameorganismsmaypossessdiversefunctionssimultaneouslyasthereefgrowthentersthelatestage.Thegrowthprocessofthereefmayinvolvefivestages’(l)biostromestage,(2)stabilizationstage,(3)frame-typereef-buildingstage,(4)bindingandcovering-typereef-buildingstage,and(5)baffle-typereef-buildingstage.
简介:LyingonthewestedgeofDongtingLake,theTaiyangshanareainHunanProvinceispartofahillyregionwhichhasupliftedsincetheLateCenozoic.AccordingtofieldinvestigationofthesixexistingfaultsintheTaiyangshanarea,wefoundthatfourofthemarenotactiveintheQuaternary,andthattheGangshi-HefufaultislikelytohavebeenactiveintheearlyMid-Pleistocene.ThegeologicalevidencederivedsuggeststhattheXiaowupufaultwasactivefromthelateMid-Pleistocenetotheearlylate-Pleistocene.ItcutthestratumwithaTLageof123±10kaBPandhasthepropertyofthrusting.TheresearchresultsareofgreatsignificanceforunderstandingtheseismogenicstructureoftheChangdeearthquakewithM63/4in1631.
简介:InAugust2011,theSangzhiCountygovernment,HunanProvince,adoptedaseriesofnewhealthcarepoliciesasanationalpilotoftheNewCooperativeMedicalScheme(referredtoas2011NCMS).Thesepoliciesweredesignedtofurtherresolveillness-ledpovertyandthepoorstateofhealthcareinthelocalarea.TheprogramhadapositiveimpactandspreadtootherregionsinHunanProvince.Thispaperwilldiscusstheprogressmadeasaresultofthepoliciesandseveralissuesthatchallengetheschemeinpractice.Atotalsampleof1212individualsand303householdswereincludedintheanalysis,and98interviewswereconductedwithpeoplerelatedtothescheme.Ourmajorfindingsindicatethatthe201!NCMShassignificantlyreducedtheout-of-pocketmedicalpaymentofruralresidents,andalsoincreasedthetownshiphospitals’patientflow.However,themedicalschemestillfacesmanychallengingissuesduringtheimplementation.WiththeincreasinginterestamongtheChinesepolicymakersinstrengtheningandpromotingtheSangzhiModel,theimpactsoftheschemedeservegreaterattentioninpracticesoastofurtherimproveNCMSinruralChina.

简介:InJanuary2008,asuddendisastercausedbyicingandsnowinghappenedinlargeareasofCentralChinaandSouthChina.TheequipmentsofHunanpowergridwereseriouslydamagedduringtheicingandsnowingdisaster.AnexpertgroupfromChinaElectricPowerResearchInstitute(CEPRI)wasorganizedandwenttoHunanprovinceforfieldinvestigation.Asasummaryofthisinvestigation,thispaperintroducespowerequipmentdamages,suchasflashovercausedbyicing,collapseoftowers,conductorbreakageanddamageofsubstationequipments.Thecountermeasuresadoptedforthisicingandsnowingdisasterarealsosummarized.Theanalysisshowsthattheraremeteorologicalconditionisthemainreasonforlarge-areadamageofHunanpowergrid.IntheicingdisasterofHunanpowergrid,theicethicknessgreatlyexceedsthepermissiblelimitofdesign,thusitisnecessarytoimprovethedesignparametersreasonablytoagainsticingoftransmissionlines,andthedesignofexternalinsulationandtheanti-icingtechnologyforsubstationsarealsoneedtobeenhanced.
