简介:Thispaperdescribesaone-termexperimentcon-ductedintheauthor’sEnglishmajorclassfromSept.1999toDec.1999.Theprojectisintendedtoencour-agestudents’autonomy,andtotrainstudentshowtoacquirevariousskillsinlanguagelearningandcom-munication.Theprojectprovidedstudentswithenoughspacetoexerttheirautonomyandattaineditsdesiredgoals.Thebeneficialeffectsshowinthreeas-pects:Thecentreofteachingandlearningshiftsfromtheteachertothestudents;givenautonomouslearn-ingenvironment,studentscanlearnmoreeffectively;andstudentscanacquireallroundabilities.
