简介：ConstructedwetlandwasfirstintroducedintotheUnitedKingdominthemiddleof1980s,followingavisitbyagroupofscientisttoWesternGermany.Inthepast2decades,theapplicationsofconstructedwetlandsinthiscountryhaveexpandedsubstantially,duetothedemandforgreentechnologiesandrisingcostoffossilfuelenergies.Thispaperreportedastatisticalinvestigationoftheperformancesof78horizontalflowwetlands,representativesofsuchsystemintheUnitedKingdom.Alternativedesignequations,basedonorganicmatterremovalefficiency,havebeendevelopedfromMonodkinetics,andtheaccuracyandreliabilityofcurrentandalternativedesignapproacheshavebeenexamined.
