摘要
AsymmetryoftheWeiheBasinisdiscussedinthepaper,andalsothemastercontrolfault,secondarycontrolfaultofasymmetricbasinisproposedinthepaper.TheasymmetryoftheWeiheBasinisexpressedasfollows:(1)itsshapeofthecrosssectionsisasymmetrical;(2)thetectonicactivityofthesouthernmarginfaultandthenorthernmarginoneisapparentlydifferent;(3)itsdeeptectonicsisasymmetrical.Finally,weusetheWeiheBasinasanexampletoestablisha"cantilever-beam"modelforcalculations.Theresultsshowthat:(1)flexureleadstostressaccumulationandformingextensionalfractures;(2)fracturesslopesteeplytowardsthefreeend;(3)whenthelengthofbeambecomeslonger,itispossiblethatnewextensionalfractureswilloccurinthefixedend.
