摘要
Thisinvestigationdealswiththeeffectsofslip,magneticfield,andnonNewtonianflowparametersontheflowandheattransferofanincompressible,electricallyconductingfourth-gradefluidpastaninfiniteporousplate.Theheattransferanalysisiscarriedoutfortwoheatingprocesses.Thesystemofhighlynon-lineardifferentialequationsissolvedbytheshootingmethodwiththefourth-orderRunge-Kuttamethodformoderatevaluesoftheparameters.TheeffectiveBroydentechniqueisadoptedinordertoimprovetheinitialguessesandtosatisfytheboundaryconditionsatinfinity.Anexceptionalcross-overisobtainedinthevelocityprofileinthepresenceofslip.Thefourth-gradefluidparameterisfoundtoincreasethemomentumboundarylayerthickness,whereastheslipparametersubstantiallydecreasesit.Similarly,thenon-Newtonianfluidparametersandthesliphaveoppositeeffectsonthethermalboundarylayerthickness.
