摘要
TheLishangwansiteislocatedinLuoshancounty,upperHuaifiverbasin,southernHenan.ThisregionissandwichedinbetweenthetwomajordrainagesystemsofChina:HuangheandChangjiang.Previousarchaeologicalworkinthisregionwasscanty;notmuchwereknownaboutitsNeolithicculturalfeatures,Withthisprobleminmind,weconductedasmallscaleexcavationintheLishangwansite,ItsNeolithicremainscanbedividedintotwosuccessivephases.TheirabsolutedatesshouldbecontemporouswiththatofQujiabngculture.AlthoughitsmaterialcultureiscloselyrelatedtothecontemporaryNeolithicculturestothenorthandtothesouth,itsuniqueregionalcharacteristicsaxeobvious.ThisexcavationprovidesuswithmaterialinformationforthestudyofthearchaeologicalcultureofthisregionanditsimplicationontheculturalinteractionbetweennorthernandsouthernChina.
