1Introduction Itiscommoninmobilebeltsthatupliftingmountainsareneighboredbysynchronouslysubsidingbasins.Thecouplingmechanismofsuchsubsidenceandupliftisanimportanttargettoclarifythedynamicsofmobilebelts.WeinvestigatethecoupledmountainupliftandbasinsubsidenceintheCentralJapanhighland,thejunctionofthreeislandarcs(theNortheastJapan,theSouthwestJapanandtheIzu-Ogasawaraarcs).Thehighlandover3000minheightiscomposedofmountainranges,plateausandintramountainbasins(Fig.1).……
