ThepresenceofthereversalsofthegeomagneticfieldwithintheBrunhesisindicatedbypaleomagneticstuidesonCenozoicvolcanicrocksintheLeizhouPeninsula,loessstrataandQuaternarymarinesedimentsinthePearlRiverMouthbasininChina.Theseregionalreversalsoccuredat0.58±0.13Ma,0.45Maand0.47—0.48MarespectivelyaccordingtotheresultsofK-Arisotopicdatingandclimatostratigraphicandbiostratigraphicanalyses.ThereversalsequivalenttotheEmperorEventissuggested.ThereversalsrevealedindifferentregionswithvariouslithologiccharactersinChinaprovethattheEmperorEventisaglobalreversaleventratherthanageomagneticexcursion,anditsconfirmationwillpermitaprecisedefinitionoftheMiddle/LatePleistoceneboundary.
