Anovelgraphene/Agnanoparticles(NPs)hybrid(preparedbyaphysicalmethod(PM))wasincorporatedintoelectrospunTiO2fiberstoimprovevisible-light-drivenphotocatalyticproperties.Theexperimentalstudyrevealedthatthegraphene/AgNPs(PM)hybridnotonlydecreasedthebandgapenergyofTiO2,butalsoenhanceditslightresponseinthevisibleregionduetothesurfaceplasmonresonance(SPR)effect.Inaddition,comparedwiththoseofTiO2fibersincorporatingthegraphene/AgNPshybrid(preparedbyachemicalmethod(CM)),TiO2-graphene/AgNPs(PM)fibersexhibitedahighersurfacephotocurrentdensityandsuperiorphotocatalyticperformance,i.e.,thevisible-light-drivenphotocatalyticactivitywasenhancedby2times.Themainreasonsincludealowersurfacedefectdensityofthegraphene/AgNPs(PM)hybrid,asmallerparticlesize(10nm)andahigherdispersityofAgNPs,whichpromotetherapidtransferofphotoexcitedchargecarriersandinhibittherecombinationofphotogeneratedelectronsandholes.Itisexpectedthatthiskindofternaryelectrospunfiberswillbeapromisingcandidateforapplicationsinwatersplitting,solarcells,CO2conversionandoptoelectronicdevices,etc.
