Inthisstudy,aerodynamicbehaviorsofsweptandleanedbladeswereinvestigated.Axialandtangentialbladecurvaturesimpactsoncompressor'soperatingparameterswereanalyzedseparately.AcommercialCFDprogramwhichsolvestheReynolds-averagedNavier-Stokesequationswasusedtofindoutthementionedimpactandthecomplicatedflowfieldoftransoniccompressor-rotors.TheCFDmethodthatwasusedforsolvingflowfield'sequationwasvalidatedbyexperimentaldataofNASARotor67.Theresultsshowedthatthecompressorwithcurvedrotorshadhigherefficiency,rotorpressureratioandstableoperatingrangecomparedtothecompressorwithun-curvedrotors.Usingcurvedrotorsmostlyhadhigherimpactontheoverallstableoperatingrangecomparedtotheotheroperatingparameters.Operatingrangeinvolveschokingpointandstallpointthatwerechangedseparatelybyusingofbendedblade.Forfindingthedetailedimpactofsweepandleanangleontransonicblades,variousformsofleanandsweepangleswereexertedtobasicrotor.Itwasfoundthatsweepanglesincreasedoveralloperatingrangeupto30%,efficiencyupto2%andpressureratioupto1%.Leaningthebladesincreasedthesafeoperatingrange,thepressureratioandefficiencyby14%,4%and2%respectively.
