Thisstudypresentsageneralapproachtoderivetheacousticnonlinearityparametersinducedbyvarioustypesofdislocationconfigurationsincludingdislocationstrings(monopoles),dislocationdipoles,dislocationpileupsandextendeddislocations.Itisfoundthatexpressionsoftheacousticnonlinearityparameterinducedbysuchavarietyofdislocationcon-figurationsshareacommonmathematicalform.Theyareallscaledwith(Lch/b)n,whereLchisacharacteristiclengthofthedislocationconfiguration,bisthemagnitudeoftheBurgersvector,andniseither3or4.Semiquantitativeanalysisispresentedtocomparethemagnitudesoftheacousticnonlinearityparametersamongdifferenttypesofdislocationconfigurations.
