TheevaluationofcreepdamagesofCr-Mo-Vsteelusedinthegasturbineofpowerplanthasbeencarriedoutusingtheline-focus-beam(LFB)acousticmicroscopy.Thevelocityofleakysurfaceacousticwave(LSAW)propagatednearthespecimensurfacewasusedforthequantitativeevaluations,whichwasmeasuredbyLFBacousticmicroscopyusingthev(z)curveanalysismethod.IthasbeenshownthatwiththeincreaseofcreepdamagefractionofmetalmaterialtheLSAWvelocitydecreasesobviously,whichsuggeststhepossibilityofnondestructiveandquantitativeevaluationsofcreeddamagesinmetalmaterialsbyacousticmicroscopy.
